This listing is for a beautiful 19th Century antique French Bronze dresser box/jewelry casket with hand painted Limoges enamel on copper inserts decorated with cherubs. Measures 4" high, 5 1/4" wide and 4 deep. This stunning box features five decorative ceramic inserts with hand enameled cherub scenes in white on a black ground.
Five different designs with top medallion featuring two cherubs with banner reading "Grete Bunzl". The box was made for Margaret Bunzl (Schonberg) who was born in Vienna, Austria in 1884 and died in 1949 in Kent, England.Velvet lined interior intact, however, it does have wear commensurate with age. The exterior of the box is in excellent Estate condition with no damage or repairs. Have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
