PLEASE VIEW NON-MOBILE LISTING FOR COMPLETE DESCRIPTION & PICTURES: Up for your consideration is a A. The Oyster Plate measures approx: 9 3/8 inches across the plate. The Oyster Plate has an attractive white porcelain raised swirl design with a scalloped ruffled edge.

The scalloped ruffled edge is decorated with a intricate lacy brushed gold design and the interior circular well is trimmed with brushed gold. The Oyster Plate has 3 back-stamps. There are 6 Matching Oyster Plates Available and the Listed Price is for 1. These Wonderful Antique Oyster Plates have Excellent Provenance Provided in the Back-Stamps.

The Limoges, France Oyster Plates were manufactured by the A. Production dates begin in the 1890's. The company had an extensive export trade with table china being its main product.

The Lanternier "White Wares" are often seen with the decoration mark of other Limoges companies or decorating studios. The 2 Lanternier marks reflects Frederic's son's name "Alfred".

Lanternier Limoges Oyster Plates have 3 stamps on the back of the plates which are described and pictured below. The 3rd stamp is from the Limoges Decorating Studio of Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman L. The 3rd Blue Stamp dates the Brushed Gold Decorating between 1920 to 1922. After 1922 the stamp is just L. With Lehman no longer being associated with the company. All 6 Limoges/Lanternier Oyster "White Ware" Plates are in Good Antique Condition with No Chips, No Cracks, No Crazing. There is some minimal wear on the brushed gold decoration, which varies from plate to plate. If interested in all 6 plates, we would gladly consider negotiating the price per-plate. 1ST White Stamp is incised into the porcelain under the glaze and depicts the anchor with the initials A. There are 2 pictures included which show the "white ware" mark with light shining through the translucent porcelain. 2ND Green Stamp is a green anchor with the initials A.

& LIMOGES, FRANCE which dates the manufacturing of the Oyster Plates between 1891 - 1914. Included is a picture from my identification book showing the dates this stamp was used.

3RD Blue Stamp is a blue stamp with the initials LR & L LIMOGES, FRANCE which represents the Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman Company. The LR & L Company was one of the many Limoges Decorating Studios. The LR & L Company would have applied the Brushed Gold Decoration between 1920 to 1922. The Stamp the company used changed after 1922 to L. As Lehman was no longer associated with the company after 1922. There is a picture included from my identification book showing the dates this stamp was used.
