Antique Pouyat Limoges Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Made for Tiffany
Condition: There is slight wear to gilding on cup rim. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges between 1876 and 1890. The set was produced especially for Tiffany of New York. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ¼ and the cup is 2 1/8 high. The ground color is deep, cobalt blue. It is decorated with flowers, meadow grasses, a butterfly and a beetle. The painting is done with gold and platinum enamels. Gold beaded accents are used in the French aesthetic design.
