This listing is for an antique Theodore Haviland tureen manufactured in Limoges, France in an unknown pattern. It's a beautiful pattern featuring multi-colored floral sprays with gold accents and highlights on a pure white embossed surface. Both bowl and lid are in excellent condition with no perceptible rubbing or fading of the gold or pattern and no cracks, scratches, chips, or crazing. The pattern, gold, and glaze are very strong. Although there is small original flea bite on the lid that I tried to show in the last two pictures, it blends in well with the painted pattern so it's not readily noticable. There are no flaws or defects that I can see so I personally would classify this piece as being between "Excellent" and "Like New" condition. This piece features the underligned "Theodore" in the backstamp which dates this piece to the early 20th century. Although this tureen is a very close match to another tureen that I have in my store, they are definitely different patterns with different embossed surfaces. This tureen measures almost 11 inches wide across the tips of each handle and stands about 6 inches tall with the lid in place. They also had offices in New York and Paris. This is a lovely example of antique Theodore Haviland china. ITEMS ARE DESCRIBED to the best of my ability.
